I produce and host two shows that explore what it actually takes to build, deploy, and trust new technology: Lowcountry Revolutionaries (the broader entrepreneurial and cultural conversation coming out of Charleston) and Beyond The Skin (the specialized lane focused on wearable technology, human augmentation, and standards).
Alongside the media work, I continue to chair ASTM F48.05 and stay active in the standards community that shapes how these systems are evaluated and used.

Host & Producer | Chair, ASTM F48.05
William G. Billotte, Ph.D., is the Founder of Veritas Exoscience LLC. He brings over 20 years of leadership in exoskeleton technology, CBRNE detection, and homeland security standards. He currently chairs the ASTM F48.05 Subcommittee for security and information technology, advancing exoskeleton security standards.
As Executive Director of ASTM International’s Exo Technology Center of Excellence (2019–2025), he led global research, developed a 5-year industry roadmap, created the international Exo Games student competition, and fostered partnerships with NIST, DoD, and international bodies.
Previously he managed NIST’s National Security Standards Program (2009–2019), overseeing more than $6M annually to create 50+ standards and 60+ publications. He coauthored the White House’s National Strategy for CBRNE Standards (2011).
With a Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Dayton, an M.S. in Engineering from Wright State University, and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech, he works at the intersection of science, technology, and real-world application. Through Lowcountry Revolutionaries and Beyond The Skin he shares the stories and standards that matter.
